Bill Nye on Ken Ham's Ark, ten years on, for Rationality Rules
Stephen Woodford's breakdown of the 2016 Ark Encounter tour arrived three days after a Tim Pool video that passed 450,000 views in four days.
Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.
The Trick Creationists Use on EVERY Scientist
Bill Nye walked onto Ken Ham's 510-foot Noah's Ark in Kentucky in July 2016, the day after the Ark Encounter opened, and Stephen Woodford has gone back to find out why the man with the science on his side came off looking weaker. "The Trick Creationists Use on EVERY Scientist" is about burden of proof, the one word Bill lets Ken keep, two moments where Bill has him pinned and lets go, and a sentence the description says Bill never says. Seven hours after it went up, it was already the fastest thing on the channel.
The week's biggest upload, though, came from Jubilee's Surrounded. Tim Pool argued that the mainstream left is more violent than the right, and Stephen's breakdown follows David Mauricio, the challenger who skipped the statistics and set the temperature instead. A good share of the comment section says breakdowns like this beat watching Jubilee itself. Two shorter pieces stayed on the debate circuit: Dave Rubin asked by Santana to name a bill, and Charlie Kirk's exchange at the Cambridge Union.
The channel ran well above its usual daily pace, at a time when about half the political and debate channels near its size are below theirs. Subscribers moved only gently, about a thousand over the week.
