Tanjiro & Giyu vs. Akaza | Demon Slayer: Kimetsu No Yaiba The Movie: Infinity Castle | Prime Video

"Tanjiro & Giyu vs. Akaza" is a fight scene lifted straight from Demon Slayer: Kimetsu No Yaiba The Movie: Infinity Castle. It went up on Prime Video's channel for Australia and New Zealand, where it passed 60,000 views in 19 hours. A new upload there usually opens with something under 5,000 on its first day.

The description keeps it simple: Tanjiro and Giyu join forces against Akaza, Upper Rank Three, in a fight that pushes both Demon Slayers to their limits. For anyone who followed the films, the name carries weight. Akaza is the demon who killed Rengoku, the Flame Hashira, at the end of Mugen Train, and Infinity Castle is the first part of the trilogy that closes Koyoharu Gotouge's story.

That old wound is all over the comments. Several viewers argue about whether Rengoku fared better against Akaza, and one points out that Akaza never had to show his full strength that night. Others enjoy how Giyu skips the speeches and goes straight to work. A moment near the two-minute mark has become a small running joke, and many viewers are already looking past this fight to the demons still waiting in the castle, Kokushibo above all. One wishes the clip had included Akaza's crash, and another wants the Japanese voices with subtitles instead of the English dub.

The channel's other uploads that week, a Carrie teaser from Mike Flanagan, a Friday Night Lights speech and a Christmas heist trailer, sit in the low thousands.
