Ten levels of heat, a waiver and a Trogdor shirt for Peebs
His one upload of the week climbs from spicy McDonald's nuggets to a Dave's Hot Chicken order he says needed a signature first.
Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.
I ate 10 Levels of Spicy Food
Peebs ate his way up a spice ladder, and it was his only new video of the week. "I ate 10 Levels of Spicy Food" starts at level one and climbs through spicy snacks, a spicy candy and fast food from McDonald's, Chipotle and Dave's Hot Chicken. The top rung, the description says, came with a waiver he had to sign just to buy it. Dave's top heat level is the Reaper, named for the Carolina Reaper pepper.
Peebs pinned his own reason for making it: people seem to enjoy watching him suffer, so here is more. The comments take him up on it. Many point out that the menudo he bought without knowing what it was is tripe soup. Others notice his Trogdor shirt, a nod to the burninating dragon of Homestar Runner, and one viewer who works at Dave's describes double-checking with every first-time Reaper customer. Some also credit the editing, which fits a channel that bills itself as funny and heavily edited.
The new video draws the most daily views on the channel right now, with two older food videos behind it: the 54-day-old "They made MORE Lunchly", his second round of the MrBeast, Logan Paul and KSI meals, and "I ate EVERY Buldak Flavor", closing in on half a million views. Spice, it seems, is a reliable seller here.
The channel as a whole is running slower than usual, and the subscriber count held at 485,000. Among nearby food channels, Ryantagcoffee and Alpine Butcher drew the biggest weeks, while Feelin' Fab With Kayla ran quieter still than Peebs.

@mittenslopezSee it on YouTubeI don't like anything spicy, so you're a champ. Good job, Peebs. We're so proud of you.
@SkiesTurnedGreySee it on YouTubeI work at Dave's, I don't usually sell a lot of reapers, only to people who eat it like it's nothing. Anytime someone wants to order the reaper for the first time I always double and triple check to make sure they know what they're getting into. I've seen people cry, throw up, and pass out from eating it so I'm just making sure they'd really want to handle it, plus saying they have to sign that reaper waiver usually deters them from it. Props to you for eating it with no milk or anything cold to drink I could never 😭
