Seth MacFarlane's Ted becomes a cartoon, and the comments say Family Guy
Mark Wahlberg, Amanda Seyfried and Jessica Barth return as voices in a teaser that is drawing far more viewers than anything else Peacock posted the same day.

Peacock has shown the first look at TED: The Animated Series, and the foul-mouthed teddy bear has found a crowd quickly. Thirteen hours after it went up, the teaser had close to three hundred thousand views. A new upload on the channel usually gathers a few thousand on its first day, so this one is running at more than fifty times that pace.
The series continues the two films Seth MacFarlane directed, Ted in 2012 and Ted 2 in 2015. MacFarlane is back as the voice of Ted, and so are his big-screen castmates: Mark Wahlberg as John, Amanda Seyfried as Sam and Jessica Barth as Tami-Lynn. The description picks up twelve years after the second film. John and his thunder buddy are now neighbors, each with a family and a dead-end job, and still encouraging each other's worst ideas about marriage and parenting.
It is also the second Ted show on Peacock. The live-action prequel series from 2024 went back to John's teenage years, and at least one viewer under the teaser says they will miss its family dynamic.
Most of the comments, though, are about the look. MacFarlane also created Family Guy, and viewers keep pointing out that a drawn Ted, with a drawn Wahlberg beside him, looks a lot like that show. Some joke that a crossover with Family Guy or American Dad is only a matter of time. Others single out a backflip in the animation.
The teaser stands well apart from the rest of the channel's day, which was filled with short clips from The Office and That '70s Show, each in the thousands.
