Two months on, MrBeast's 'Paying For Food With My Car' passes 100 million
Under the July upload, viewers are less interested in the car than in the boss who watched someone else get it.
Why this story? The channel passed the 100,000,000 views mark.
Paying For Food With My Car
Posted at the end of July, "Paying For Food With My Car" has now passed 100 million views. Most MrBeast videos do their loudest work in their first days. This one is still drawing more than a million views a day, two months later.
The premise is all in the title: Jimmy Donaldson settles a food order with a car instead of cash. The comments fill in the rest of the scene. They mention a worker who receives the car and asks what she is supposed to do with it, a boss standing nearby, and a car waiting its turn behind. The most-liked comment simply admits the reply was not what its writer expected, and a thousand people have answered it. Several viewers swap jokes about her question. Others turn their attention to the manager and keep returning to his face as he watched the keys go to someone else.
The channel has moved on since then. A city built in Africa to keep children out of illegal labor, which carried a quiet stretch as we reported here, is nearing 85 million views. "What's Inside My Briefcase?", posted on September 27, has passed 25 million in its first days. The car trade from July is still collecting views alongside both.
