Life Fails!

The storm drew best. "Escaping a hurricane!" went up on September 29 and gathered close to 4,500 views in its first day, and two days in it is drawing more each day than the channel's other two new uploads put together.

Those two show the team's lighter side. "Life Fails!" opened the week as a compilation of things going wrong. It has collected the most views of the three simply by being around longest. Then came the kind of title only this channel writes: "We strapped SMOKE BOMB and LED light to DRONE to make UFO!" A drone trailing smoke and light at night is a small backyard experiment for a crew that made its name on big, cinematic action pieces, and it has been the quietest of the three so far.

Devin Graham's team in Provo, Utah, describes itself as more than a YouTube channel, with work running from Super Bowl commercials to start-up ads. That helps explain the pace. These are occasional uploads from working filmmakers, sitting on a library that has passed 1.9 billion views.

Among the challenge and stunt channels nearest it in size, the big stretches belong to others. AMP is running at nearly double its usual daily views, and Brotherofcolor and TBJZL are above their own normal levels too. Max Fosh and steak are having a slower stretch than usual. devinsupertramp sits in the middle of that group by subscribers, at 6.4 million.
