Why this story? The whole channel is running at 5,985,645 views a day, 10 times a normal day (575,933).

10,000 Player Minecraft War: Nether VS Overworld

Parrot has added roughly six million views in a day, bringing his channel within reach of half a billion. That is a sharp change from its usual daily audience of around half a million views.

The surge arrives with "10,000 Player Minecraft War: Nether VS Overworld", published on November 1. Its premise turns a long peace between Minecraft's dimensions into an invasion story: the Nether has attacked. This is staged storytelling on the Unstable Universe server, where Parrot, Wemmbu, Spoke and FlameFrags tell stories inside the game, rather than an unscripted server conflict.

For Parrot, the wider conflict follows a run of much more confined predicaments: a mining prison, an escape beneath the Nether and imprisonment in the End. Prison escapes are also among the channel's most-watched uploads, alongside building a supposedly safe civilization. The new story puts safety itself on a larger, interdimensional scale.

The daily gain covers the whole channel, so it cannot all be credited to the war upload. That video has nevertheless already approached six million views, with original music credited to nombra101.
