10,000 Player Minecraft War: Nether VS Overworld

Parrot arrives for peace talks in a homemade redstone blimp, carrying a villager named Pesto and a warning: "Clown's going to invade." The ruler he has come to warn answers by ambushing him and taking the villager.

That is how "10,000 Player Minecraft War: Nether VS Overworld" opens. The new chapter of Parrot's Unstable SMP saga drew about 2.5 million views in its first eleven hours. The description says plainly what this is: a staged server where Parrot, Wemmbu, Spoke and FlameFrags tell stories in Minecraft, with hundreds of other players filling the roles of soldiers and citizens.

It also moves the saga above ground. Parrot's autumn was spent behind bars, in a Nether mining prison, an Underworld and an End prison, each opening with his promise to escape "someday, somehow." Now he is back in the Overworld, an exiled former king with a problem: ClownPierce, ruler of the Nether, is massing an army. The only ally strong enough to matter is saparata of CinderCrest, the enemy from the civil war that drove Parrot out.

saparata greets him with a giant wall of cobblestone and lava, then asks, "Why shouldn't I just kill you right now and take your villager and use both of them?" Rescue comes from Theo and Reina, fired onto the blimp by a TNT cannon while Parrot shouts, "Someone get the villager to safety!"

The war then turns practical. Parrot plans to sneak into CinderCrest and breed villagers there without anyone noticing, which sends him and Reina, invisible, to Ironclad City to buy iron for minecarts. Inside, he changes the pitch of his voice to get past the gates. LettuceK, another former king, sees through it at once.

The civilization Parrot built in exile, featured in his August video, is still standing, and he sends Lettuce to evacuate Ironclad's civilians to it. Viewers have plenty to say about the rest: the villager's free tour of the server, the long journey to breed two villagers, and Wemmbu, the one member of the four-man cast who is apparently on vacation.
