George Kittle responds to reports on Brandon Aiyuk returning to the f

Would Brandon Aiyuk even get into the facility? That is the follow-up George Kittle faces after a reporter asks whether he is looking forward to seeing his 49ers teammate.

"Plead the fifth," Kittle replies.

The brief exchange, posted by NFL on CBS with an on-screen credit to @grantcohn, drew roughly 371,000 views in its first day. That is about thirty-four times the channel's usual start for a Short. The comment section was also far busier than usual, with viewers discussing the repeated Aiyuk questions and reading meaning into Kittle's refusal to answer.

Kittle offers no confirmation about what will happen. Instead, the San Francisco tight end points the questions elsewhere: "You can ask John or Kyle. Don't ask me. I'm a conspiracy guy." He is referring to John Lynch and Kyle Shanahan.

A reporter takes the opening and asks whether there is a conspiracy. Kittle returns to the same answer: "Plead the fifth." The clip ends without resolving the question of Aiyuk rejoining the team.

NFL on CBS also had unusually fast starts for Shorts about Baltimore getting creative at quarterback and Derrick Henry's frustration after the Jaguars loss. But the Aiyuk exchange drew the largest first-day audience of those uploads, with Kittle giving reporters a joke rather than the update they were seeking.
