Bruno walks out of the veterinary hospital in leg braces, accompanied by his handler as staff and onlookers applaud. The police dog's discharge follows a fall from a Utah highway overpass that left him with fractures in two legs and his jaw, South Korea's Korean Broadcasting System (KBS News) reports.

The footage begins with the accident. Bruno jumps over a concrete barrier on an elevated road ramp. Officer Wayne Henderson runs to the edge, looks down and then sprints toward his patrol vehicle.

"Call Life Flight! Call Life Flight!" Henderson shouts, requesting an emergency helicopter.

When he reaches the highway below, Henderson approaches Bruno, calms him as he tries to get up and bends over to hold him. He then lies on the asphalt beside the injured dog while they wait for rescuers.

Paramedics and officers place Bruno on a stretcher. A helicopter lands nearby to take him to a veterinary trauma hospital. According to the report, Bruno underwent surgery and is recovering at home after his discharge.

KBS says Park City police released the footage on October 14. The accident happened on September 15, while Henderson and Bruno were responding to a suspected explosive device on the roadway. The object turned out to be a broken battery that had fallen from a vehicle.

Park City Police Chief Wade Carpenter described Bruno as a colleague and a member of the police family, saying Henderson and rescuers worked to keep him calm and get him the treatment he needed.
