The Final Mission Episode 9: Hey, Mister! (feat. Roger Clark)

Episode 9 of The Final Mission was only six hours old and already gathering views quicker than anything else on Ned Luke's channel. The guest is Roger Clark, the voice and face of Arthur Morgan in Red Dead Redemption 2. Ned played Michael De Santa in Grand Theft Auto V, another Rockstar game, and his podcast has become a slow reunion of that world and the people around it.

The timing has a neat loop to it. Under the previous week's episode, one of the most liked comments asked Ned to bring Roger Clark on, and a week later he did. That episode, "Millions to One," paired Ned with DarkViperAU, the Australian speedrunner who has spent years taking GTA V apart. Viewers keep pointing out how much Ned knows about Matto's own videos, and how unusually shy the speedrunner looks across from the man who plays Michael. A running joke in the comments also insists, with a wink, that Matto is secretly Lucia's voice actor from GTA VI.

In between came Julian Gamble, Dave Norton himself, talking behind the scenes, plus a stream of shorts, including one where Ned says he really owns Michael's jacket. Fifteen uploads in all.

The channel is moving more slowly than its usual pace, though it still picked up about 5,000 subscribers. Among streamer channels of its size, Asmongold Shorts is having the biggest week by far, while Legendary Drops is adding subscribers at much the same rate as Ned.
