Nathan Doan's gamer has to play an entire round ahead
An impossibly laggy connection turns a teammate's scoreboard lecture into a feat of prediction, and viewers spot another complication.
Why this story? The video opened at a pace of 1,212,290 views a day, 11 times a normal first day on this channel (114,842).

Pressing Tab is supposed to settle the argument. In Nathan Doan's gaming sketch, it only makes the situation more ridiculous: one teammate has all the kills, everyone else has none, and the best player apparently has the worst connection.
Doan plays both the tearful gamer at the computer and the furious teammate in his headset. The scoreboard's ping display initially looks merely bad. Then the interface expands, revealing a number so long it becomes its own visual joke.
The explanation is pure gaming absurdity. "My ping is so high I have to press all my controls one round ahead of time," the teammate says. He isn't just carrying the squad. He's having to anticipate what the match will do before his inputs arrive.
Posted on Nathan Doan Comedy, the Short drew nearly 750,000 views in ten hours, already well beyond the channel's usual full-day audience for the format. Its comment section has also passed the usual first-day total several times over.
Viewers are extending the premise rather than just repeating the gaming joke: if his connection is that delayed, wouldn't he also have needed to predict this entire conversation? Others are puzzling over how voice chat could work at all. Doan's impossible scoreboard has become an impossible timeline.
