The barista announces a tiny supply of collectible cups, then immediately drops one. Scarcity has barely entered Nathan Doan's café before an employee makes it worse.

Doan plays the barista and both customers in this staged sketch about a limited-edition Snoopy cup. The man in red isn't interested in collecting anything. "I mean, I was in line for coffee, not to buy a random cup," he explains. Unfortunately, his own body doesn't seem to agree.

The Short drew an estimated two million views in its first day, roughly sixteen times the usual opening for Shorts on Nathan Doan Comedy. Its everyday setting gives way to an anime-style confrontation, with involuntary attacks and a customer who seems almost as surprised by his punches as their recipient.

That is the joke's peculiar escalation: the reluctant shopper keeps insisting it's just a cup while his hand acts as though securing it is his life's purpose. Doan switches between the green-aproned employee, the bewildered man in red and a brown-jacketed customer trying to explain resale value at a very bad moment.

Viewers are connecting the scramble to Pokémon-card resellers and pointing back to the barista's opening mishap as the avoidable start of everything. Others single out the mother on the phone. When her son calls to say he's dying, her concern is whether he got the Snoopy cup.
