The comedy sketch drew roughly 72,000 views in eight hours, already well beyond the channel's usual full-day audience for a Short. Its comment section had also passed three times the usual first-day total, with viewers picking out familiar creators as the calls pile up.

Franks plays Mum in an orange sweater and wig, opening with a straightforward question: "Is it bad that I don't want to take the kids trick or treating?" A couple promptly explain their tradition of hiding in the dark and close the curtains. A parenting creator admits he doesn't actually have children. The teacher considers Mum's children a safeguarding concern rather than prospective trick-or-treaters.
