Luke Davidson adds nearly 100,000 subscribers in a day
The unusually large subscriber gain comes without a matching surge in daily views.
Why this story? The channel is adding 99,971 subscribers a day, 125 times a normal day (798).
When I Make A Mess #Shorts
Luke Davidson's audience has grown by almost 100,000 subscribers in a day, a sharp departure from his usual gain of around 800. The Canadian comedy creator's daily views, meanwhile, are running below their usual level. This is a subscriber jump, not a sudden rush of extra viewing.
His latest upload, "When I Make A Mess #Shorts", follows another mess-themed Short, "The Messier The Better #Shorts". Between them came the longer "Chances of Being Born in ______?", with its questionable arithmetic, as we reported here.
Among those recent uploads, though, the cat title has the largest audience: "Why Do Cats Go Crazy 😭 #Shorts" has passed a million views. That does not establish what prompted the subscriber gain, but it adds another everyday subject to a catalogue whose most-watched Shorts include childhood fears, snow days and the awkward moment when a whole class gets the wrong answer.
