'Telling My Friends I'm Pregnant' nears two million for Lufu
The sixteen-day-old reaction video, posted a week after the stream that announced the baby, carries a channel that posted nothing new.
Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.
Telling My Friends I'm Pregnant
"Telling My Friends I'm Pregnant" is exactly what its title says: Lufu breaking the news to her friends, with a one-line description asking viewers who had the best reaction. Sixteen days after it went up, it is closing in on two million views, and it is the reason this channel still feels busy.
Lufu is a gaming creator first, and this is her second channel, the one she describes as a place for little moments of her life away from the gaming. Lately those moments have been big ones. A week before the friends video came "We Having A Baby! (Boy Or Girl?)", posted for anyone who missed the announcement stream and, in her words, for the future "bubba fu." Further back, from about nine months ago, "We Got Married ❤️" is still finding viewers, its description half wedding album and half polite plea to Madonna about a song on the soundtrack.
Nothing new went up over the past seven days, and the channel slowed down to match. Daily views are running at well under half of what they usually are, and about a thousand new subscribers arrived over the week. Even so, the friends video is pulling more on its own each day than the whole channel is right now, a sign of how much of the attention lands on that one announcement.
Among the vlog and daily-life channels close to her size, Lufu is second by subscribers. The really big weeks belong elsewhere: Bryton and Jade and Grace Reiter both added millions of views. For Lufu, it is one piece of news, told to a few friends, that still brings people back.
