Bitsy's doll logic horrifies the Legends of Avantris table

An earplug mishap has viewers debating whether this particular tabletop moment really needs an animated version.

Why this story? The video drew 695 comments in its first day, 5.3 times a normal first day on this channel (131).

Earplugs are supposed to keep something out. Bitsy manages to get them stuck up her nose, and the solution turns out to be considerably worse than the problem.

In Legends of Avantris's Short "Horrifying 🤣 #dnd #ttrpg #dnd5e", Nikkie, the Dungeon Mistress, supplies the initial mishap. Bitsy struggles through retrieving one plug, then pauses as a useful character detail occurs to her: "Oh, wait. I'm a doll."

What follows is tabletop make-believe, not an animated horror scene. Bitsy's player mimes peeling off her face, retrieving the remaining earplug and sewing everything back together. The table erupts into laughter and horrified screams. The accompanying mouth sounds give viewers another detail to dwell on.

The clip drew more than five times the channel's usual first-day comments, even though its views were ordinary for a Short. And the discussion has a very specific question: should anyone make this visual?

Several viewers invoke animator Shoocharu, imagining how the face-removal routine might translate to animation. Others jokingly suggest making an exception to the usual requests to animate a memorable bit. One proposes a less gruesome reveal: another face underneath.

For a group that describes itself as seven best friends playing D&D around a table, this is a particularly literal demonstration of character roleplay: Bitsy remembers what she's made of, and everyone else has to picture the consequences.

What viewers say

I know the usual line is 'Schoocharu you need to animate this'. But, hear me out, maybe we pass on this one.

I'm imagining, instead of gore, when this gets animated and Bitsy peels their face off, it's just Derek underneath.
