Who brings back a clown from the dead? Legends of Avantris does. Chuckles, a familiar face from the group's Witchlight games, is the star of "Honk Legion," a new D&D campaign whose first episode premiered Thursday. The description sets the scene: the Witchlight crew is stuck in the "after-afterlife," doomed to an eternity in Crazy Clown Hell, and the only way out runs through Chuckles himself.

The premiere had drawn close to 280,000 views in 19 hours, roughly seven times what one of the channel's longer videos usually gets on its first day. That stands out more because the channel as a whole was having a quieter day than usual.

It is a long watch. The broadcast runs past four hours, and a viewer's timestamps show the table getting going about an hour and a half in, after a song release and an introduction. Many in the comments simply post where the session starts.

The rest of the conversation is about clowns. Some viewers think this cast suits the clown setup better than it suited Once Upon a Ghostlight. Others say Chuckles reminds them of Buggy from One Piece, and one suggests a character called Gideon should get advantage against the clowns as their natural predator. A small running joke has also taken hold, with viewers calling a new clown campaign the group's "recession indicator."

The comment section filled about twice as fast as on a usual first day for the channel's long streams. On the Shorts side, an animated "Grease Battle" clip from the same Witchlight table had passed half a million views in two days.
