Dhokla thanks LYON fans after a painful Worlds exit
The LCS farewell interview pairs his harsh self-assessment with a year of achievements and a shoutout from Olympic sprinter Noah Lyles.
Why this story? The video opened at a pace of 287,309 views a day, 26 times a normal first day on this channel (11,170).
For the final time at Worlds 2026, thank you Dhokla and LYON 🫶
"I started this year not supposed to be playing," Dhokla says. By its end, he had reached the League of Legends World Championship quarterfinals with LYON. In the interview after their match against Gen.G, though, that bigger picture is difficult for him to hold onto.
The LCS Short drew roughly 287,000 views in its first day, an unusually large audience for the league's short-form uploads. Its comment section was even further outside the routine, nearly fifty times as busy as usual.
Dhokla opens by saying he feels embarrassed about his performance. Asked to sum up LYON's year, he can still list the achievements: two titles, a top-three finish at the Mid-Season Invitational, second place in summer and a Worlds quarterfinal appearance. He calls it a successful year, while acknowledging how critical he is of himself in the immediate aftermath.
Then comes a message from an unexpected corner of sport. The interview includes a video shoutout from Olympic sprinter Noah Lyles. Dhokla's response returns to the result: "Unfortunately we couldn't deliver, I couldn't deliver."
Viewers repeatedly urge him to judge the whole season rather than its final series. Some discuss how heavily he was targeted in the match; another recalls meeting him at the LCS opener and reminds him that League is a team game.
Dhokla closes by addressing those supporters directly: "Thank you for the support throughout the whole year."
