Griffith Park's old zoo, with Jovenshire on ghost duty, for Lasercorn
A follow-up visit to the zoo's abandoned monkey cages went up on September 29, and his main ghost hunt has passed 18,000 views.
Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.
Haunted Abandoned Zoo Versus Pro Ghost Hunters
Lasercorn went back to the ruins of the old Griffith Park Zoo in Los Angeles for spooky season, and he did not go alone. The first video, "Haunted Abandoned Zoo Versus Pro Ghost Hunters," brings in Jovenshire as the professional ghost hunter of the title. Keith and Noah of Smosh fame are also in the tags. It is a small Smosh Games reunion dressed up as a paranormal investigation, and the description wonders whether the group will survive the cursed location.
Ten days on, that video is still the one doing the work on the channel. The only new upload of the week was its companion piece, "Abandoned Zoo Ghost Hunt - Monkey Cages," a shorter look at the cages the crew found on the same trip. It has drawn a few thousand views so far.
Overall it was a slow stretch. Daily views ran at roughly a seventh of the usual pace, and the channel stayed at 692,000 subscribers. Further down the list, "Why Lasercorn Left Smosh Games," his chaptered account of contracts, Defy and the Mythical takeover, keeps finding readers months after it went up.
Among let's-play and variety channels of similar size, UnitedGamer had the big week, while Caboose and javeus also ran well below their usual levels. For Lasercorn, the zoo is where the action is.
