Jon B. loses a northern pike almost as soon as his Minnesota countdown begins. The line breaks, leaving him with plenty of fishing ahead and nothing yet to count in "24 HOUR MULTISPECIES CHALLENGE (MINNESOTA)".
The assignment is to catch as many different legal-size species as possible before the clock runs out. A smallmouth bass gets him started, and a bluegill on a fly rod adds a much smaller catch to the tally. Between launches, he searches for public bank access rather than keeping the whole adventure aboard his new Lund. The video also includes a boat promotion.
Then comes the musky business. One takes his lure beside the boat and escapes. Later, Jon hooks and lands a large musky by hand, declaring, "I've never landed a musky like that my entire life." Asher Davis filmed and edited the outing.
That catch gives viewers something specific to discuss: musky encounters of their own, Minnesota fishing memories and suggestions for rocky shorelines and Boundary Waters trips. One viewer recalls biking to Lake Nokomis as a child.
The upload has reached roughly 144,000 views and is comfortably the channel's strongest daily draw. October's "I Caught The King Of The Ocean" and the older "Wherever This Dart Lands... I Fish For 24 Hours (Part 7)" also remain active. Subscribers held steady, while daily views are running moderately above Jon B.'s usual level.
Among nearby outdoor channels, B2B Castaways and Field Days had busier viewing weeks. Jon B.'s smaller week centered on a single Minnesota outing, with tiny bluegill and an altogether less manageable musky sharing the same checklist.

I was actually in disbelief to see that you fished lake Nokomis at the end. I grew up biking to that lake to catch anything I could get. I also watched your videos all the time. Super cool.
@jackm3838See it on YouTubeI work at a fishing resort in the Northwoods of Wisconsin. The front desk girl came and told me a guest had a big fish on and didn't have a net. Grabbed a net and took off in a boat, 50+ inch fish, pretty fun experience!

Lakes in far northeast Minnesota near the Canadian border have better bank access near the shore because it’s rockier terrain. You get a lot of open rock areas along the shore. Also next time you come to Minnesota you need to fish Lake Superior. There’s some wonderful beaches you can fish from. It’s like fishing on the ocean.
