JBIN CLIPS YT passes 600,000 subscribers with a cartoon for every birth year
The newest guessing game opened about four times faster than a fresh short usually does here, even as the channel's subscriber climb slowed from its earlier pace.
Why this story? The channel went from 468,000 to 621,000 subscribers this week.
JBIN CLIPS YT has crossed 600,000 subscribers, and it got there the way it gets most places: by handing each viewer a small personal verdict. The newest short, "The Year You Were Born is Your Favorite Cartoon!", asks for nothing more than a birth year.
It went up on October 5. Within half a day it had been watched about 140,000 times, roughly four times the pace of a usual opening on this channel. That is a strong start for a short built on the same formula as everything around it.
The climb itself has cooled, though. The week's gain was large for a channel of this size, but it came well short of the speed of the days just before it. Daily views have stayed close to their usual level. Several clips channels near its size, Vexon and Shiba Diva among them, are also running below their usual daily views.
The formula has not changed. The first letter of your name picks your pet, your year picks your American football team, and a wax-free butter squishy tutorial makes a rare break from the guessing. Not every round draws the same crowd: the pet and squishy shorts sit far behind the football one. The biggest of them all is still "The First Letter of Your Name is Your Video Game Console! |Pt.2|", which has passed two million views by itself. The "Pt.2" says the channel had already found something worth doing twice.
