Part five of 'Crazy CLINCKERS Moments' follows a two-million-view part four
The clips channel added thousands of subscribers in a single day, where a few hundred is the norm.
CaptainPepeStory of Why this story? The channel is adding 6,996 subscribers a day, 20 times a normal day (343).
CaptainPepe put out the fifth installment of its 'Ranking Crazy CLINCKERS Moments' series on October 5, two days after part four started pulling in a crowd the channel rarely sees. Part four has now passed two million views. As we reported here, its very first clip had people talking.
The bigger change is in who stayed. On the day after the new part arrived, the channel gained close to 7,000 subscribers. On an ordinary day it adds a few hundred.
CaptainPepe is a clips channel. It does not film its own footage. Instead it takes short moments and ranks them, with a narrated voiceover and, as its about page describes it, an animated character performing in sync with the commentary. The menu changes from day to day. In the same week it posted rankings of volcanoes and of glowing cats, and both stayed far below the Clinckers videos.
The titles come with a candy emoji and promise only that the moments are crazy. Part five is still small next to its predecessor, with just tens of thousands of views so far, and it does not yet have the head start part four had. It is the sequel to a short that brought in a whole new crowd of subscribers.
