Break the seal: Jessica Braun's L'Oréal blush balm gets a tip line

Her makeup launches video drew nearly 70,000 views, and viewers keep explaining how to get more color out of one product she liked.

Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.

Jessica Braun tried a stack of new makeup launches for "I've been living under a ROCK 🧐 NEW Makeup that is SO good + some DUDS...", running from drugstore to Sephora and Ulta shelves: an ELF cream bronzer and blush, a Covergirl mascara, a Jones Road concealer, a Naturium SPF and a L'Oréal tinted balm. A week on, it is her most watched upload, close to 70,000 views.

The comment section has turned into a small workshop. Viewer after viewer tells her the L'Oréal balm works like the Jones Road Miracle Balm: dig in with a knuckle to break the top layer, and the pigment comes through much richer. Others add a mascara trick with an old wand, and a good number simply mention the pale yellow sweater. Several commenters in their sixties chime in about routines that change along with their skin.

Two more uploads landed on October 2. A fall vlog with an outdoor thrift market, a Target Halloween haul and a chickpea curry in the crockpot is now the busiest of her videos day to day, with a short on her two favorite new drugstore finds not far behind. Two smaller shorts, a yay-or-nay poll and a question about what to feed one of her two littles, rounded out five uploads.

The channel as a whole held close to its usual pace. In a group of fashion and shopping channels, it was a middling week; Refashioned Hippie had by far the biggest, even while running below its own norm.
