- 9:14Three missed event cards become available through packs, with five new Old Gods cards planned for the next patch.
Why use temporary bans so soon after an expansion? Nate Kaplan gives a direct answer in Hearthstone's most-watched new upload: "Bans are not part of our usual balance strategy, and we only enact them to solve emergency balance outliers."
"37.0.2 Dev Update | Hearthstone" brought roughly 25,000 views, the largest audience among the official game's four uploads this week. Kaplan joins John McIntyre and Nathan Lyons-Smith to explain the adjustments following Reign of the Black Empire. McIntyre says the expansion was designed to slow things down; the discussion gets specific about curbing fast Warlock combos, adjusting the Assemble card pool and making changes for Wild players.
There is something beyond card tuning, too: a limited-time 2v2 Tavern Brawl, Journal and Black Market interface improvements, and access through packs to three previously missed event cards. Viewers are asking whether the team experiment could become permanent, while others make the case for decisive balance patches that give underplayed decks room to breathe. Nostalgia has a seat at the table as well, with requests for Solo Adventures and a fond mention of Chillwind Yeti.
The channel collected about 204,000 views across its catalog, with subscribers unchanged and daily viewing a little below its usual pace. Among nearby publisher and esports channels, Apex Legends Global Series had a much larger viewing week, while Forza's daily audience stayed close to its normal level.
Away from the developer discussion, the week's other uploads were promotional teasers and product announcements. The N'Zoth Pet and Signature Collection reveal now has the strongest daily momentum of the selected videos, followed by its beat-drop teaser. The tentacles have kept their musical accompaniment.

Good stuff. Please don't be scared to do bans/hotfixes. It can almost feels like a mini expansion with how it lets the underperforming archetypes actually see play.
