Fox Nation's surge rolls on past a modest run of COPS, Tarzann and SEAL clips
The streaming service's channel took in more than two million views in a day, while its five newest uploads each sit in the low thousands.
Why this story? The whole channel is running at 2,392,065 views a day, 20 times a normal day (119,042).
Still running hot. Fox Nation's channel brought in more than two million views in its latest day, about twenty times what a normal day looks like. The uploads it posted on October 1 and 2 are not where that crowd came from: the busiest of them has yet to reach ten thousand.
As we reported here, the run started with a CrimeCam 24/7 short built around three words, "Where are my fries?", which had passed a million and a half views by October 2. The new arrivals cannot account for a day this size, so maybe the fries clip, or something else further back in the catalog, is still pulling people in. It is not clear which video carried the latest day.
The new uploads work like a sampler of the service. A trailer for 'COPS: Kansas State Troopers' follows a broken taillight that turns into a felony stop, and it leads the batch. The Real Tarzann, the wildlife personality, is put on the spot to book animal-versus-animal matchups at a wrestling event. In 'Man of Honor: The Michael Monsoor Story', Mike Sarraille remembers his brother in arms, the Navy SEAL who received the Medal of Honor. Paul Mauro, Josh Ritter and Donna Rotunno preview 'The Weekly Rap Sheet', and a 'Grillin' Across America' clip stops at the Museum of the Bible for Arnold Friberg's painting The Prayer at Valley Forge.
Among TV and streaming channels of a similar size, Heartland and Two and a Half Men are also ahead of their usual pace, but by nothing like this margin. Fox Nation also picked up about two thousand new subscribers in that single day.
