A 'Where are my fries?' CrimeCam 24/7 clip far outpaces Fox Nation's usual start
In its first twelve hours, a short teaser for the network's surveillance-footage crime series drew more views than most of the channel's uploads gather in months.
Why this story? The video opened at a pace of 600,776 views a day, 351 times a normal first day on this channel (1,713).
Apparently, “Where are my fries?” are fighting words. 🍟
A single clip carried it. Fox Nation posted a short teaser for 'CrimeCam 24/7', one of its true crime series, under the title "Apparently, 'Where are my fries?' are fighting words." Twelve hours later it had passed 420,000 views. That is a pace of roughly three hundred and fifty times what a new upload here usually manages on its first day.
The description says only that the series streams exclusively on Fox Nation. Going by the title, the clip shows a dispute over a food order that escalated far beyond what anyone would expect.
The rest of the channel's uploads that week looked very different, and they stayed near their usual audiences. There was 'Man of Honor: The Michael Monsoor Story', in which Navy SEALs describe the grenade blast that took his life and saved theirs. There was 'Chords of Faith', in which songwriter Casey Beathard and his family talk about the loss of their son Clayton and how they came to forgive. And a new 'Grillin' Across America' episode set at a Grand Prix in Washington had a few hundred views.
In the comments under the CrimeCam clip, many viewers discuss how the case should have been charged.
The one clip was enough to roughly double the channel's daily views.
