Señor Tickle, mashed potatoes and 'Perfectly Normal Behavior' at the Nine-Nine

The official channel's supercut of the squad at its least normal passed 139,000 views in six days, and the comments are still quoting it.

Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.

Ten hours old, "Random Season 2 Episodes to Watch At Lunch" is already pulling in more views per day than anything else on the official Brooklyn Nine-Nine channel. It is a fitting title for a show that so many people seem to keep on in the background: second season, sandwich in hand, Jake Peralta mid-scheme.

The bigger total belongs to "Brooklyn 99 but It's Just Perfectly Normal Behavior," posted on September 27 and now past 139,000 views. The joke is in the title, and the comment section got it immediately: the most liked reply is a viewer admitting they read it and thought, well, that's a lie. From there it turns into a roll call of the strangest moments, with Boyle and Adrian Pimento singled out as the most normal pair imaginable, Terry's love of yogurt, a cry for more mashed potatoes, and a vote for the made-up Mlepnos as the sanest person in the whole universe. Someone also nominates "Señor Tickle and his Nueve Amigos" as a band name, and a few viewers say they fall asleep to these compilations every night.

The rest of the five uploads stayed close to Captain Holt, whose deadpan carries both "Listen Up Because I Will Not Repeat Myself" and "What Makes Holt A Loser?" A Season 1 Christmas highlight went up in late September, a little ahead of the calendar.

The channel as a whole is running about half again above its usual daily pace, and its weekly gain of nearly three million views is the second largest among the TV channels around its size. Only Channel 4.0 drew more, while NBC is having a very lively few days of its own and FOX is quieter than usual.
