Haitian national arrested after fatal shooting of former romantic partner in Walmart parking lot

Latasha Ann Cooper had finished her shift at Walmart when she was fatally shot in the store's parking lot. FOX 29 Philadelphia's follow-up now reports that authorities have arrested a man and charged him with murder.

Reporter Kelly Rule identifies Cooper as a manager at the Cheltenham store in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania. The arrest is a development in the killing we reported here earlier, moving the coverage from the shooting to the investigation and court proceedings.

The report shows U.S. Marshals taking the suspect into custody in North Philadelphia. Robert Clark, a supervisory deputy with the Marshals' fugitive task force, says authorities moved quickly because of the violence of the crime and concern that the suspect could leave the country.
