minecraft hates him

"Look at this. Zero damage," DrDonut says after detonating TNT in Minecraft's Nether. He immediately falls into lava. It is an unfortunate moment to have declared success, and the rescue attempts don't improve matters.

The Short, titled "minecraft hates him", drew an estimated 720,000 views in its first day, roughly seventeen times the usual start for Shorts on DrDonut Clips. The channel belongs to DrDonut, but other people clip, edit and post its stream highlights.

Here, those editors have a compact chain of mishaps to work with. DrDonut uses a boat to reach a small ledge, then eats suspicious stew to recover. The stew poisons him instead. He pauses, returns to the game and is promptly met by a ghast's fireball, which sends him back into the lava.

Viewers are picking apart the decisions rather than simply accepting the title's verdict on Minecraft. Some discuss his choice of building block or whether dodging the fireball would have been wiser. Another spots the edit's musical timing: the rhythm lines up with the lava damage.

Elsewhere on the channel, "Wizox ban this guy song" and "scammed an illegal item flicker" also made unusually fast starts. But this clip needs little setup: a confident declaration, a bad landing and a recovery meal that makes everything worse.
