The straw hat says it before he does. IShowSpeed appears on stream in Luffy's signature headwear and an anime shirt, belting out the Japanese One Piece opening theme and dancing along. Then he explains: "This has been a dream of mine, bro." The dream is One Piece arriving in Fortnite, and the stream has drawn roughly 1.8 million views since yesterday.

The crossover trailer comes in through his Discord, followed by a short explainer on the Pirate Shop Access Token, the item that has much of the Fortnite world searching chests this week. Plenty of his viewers are skeptical that a handful of chests will be enough to find it.

The pirates are only part of the plan. Pulling down a green screen behind his chair, Speed announces, "Today, we also 1v1ing Dele Alli, chat." Alli, the former Tottenham and England midfielder, is a fitting opponent for a streamer whose football songs sit at the top of his channel. One of those songs, "World Cup," gets played in the room, and when a copyright warning interrupts, he is unbothered: "Copyright? It's my song!"

The fan submissions bring two more moments. One shows his face on giant billboards in Shibuya. Another is a graphic announcing a Grand Theft Auto VI marathon stream. "Bro, this is literally in thirteen days," he says.

One game is missing. As we reported here, Speed began his first Zelda adventure the day before, and the most liked comments under this stream are about Hyrule, not the pirates. Some viewers tease him for forgetting it after a single day, while others simply ask him to go back and finish what he started.
