Kidneys, magnesium and a tartar recipe fill Dr. Berg's fifteen uploads

A list of eighteen early signs of kidney disease drew about 270,000 views in its first day, and a red light therapy explainer followed it two days later.

Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.

Fifteen uploads went up on Dr. Eric Berg's channel this week, and they ranged across most of the body: teeth, gut, liver, kidneys and, at the end, the inside of a single cell.

The one with the most views so far is "Why Your Magnesium Isn't Working (3 Nighttime Mistakes)," which is near 550,000 after five days. Its chapters cover dosage labels, absorption and timing, plus a short stop at vitamin D. The newer videos are moving faster, though. "18 Early Signs of Kidney Disease" passed a quarter of a million in its first 24 hours. It lists puffy eyes, foamy urine and swollen feet, and the description is careful to say that most of these signs have other explanations too. "What Red Light Therapy Actually Does Inside Your Cells" arrived a day later and went just as quickly. It starts from the Krebs cycle and ends by suggesting that sunlight carries much of the same light as a panel.

The week had a kitchen-cupboard side as well: a homemade tartar toothpaste of baking soda, clove oil and honey, and six foods the title says the liver loves, from beets to olive oil.

At 15 million subscribers, Berg sits just below Doctor Mike among similar health channels, and Doctor Mike is having a big week. Jason Fung, the Toronto kidney specialist who writes about fasting and is a close neighbor in Berg's keto world, is busier than usual too. Dr. John Campbell is a little quieter.
