An oven that was never switched on, and Meghan's As Ever post, on Dan Wootton Outspoken

Lady Colin Campbell, According2Taz and the Royal News Network all joined Dan across fifteen uploads, most of them royal.

Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.

Dan Wootton spent most of his week on the royals, and the video moving fastest is about a kitchen. "Meghan Markle exposed for fake oven PR gaffe & setting up Prince Harry pap pic" takes on a post for her As Ever brand. The title of a second, shorter video on the same post spells out the charge: the oven, it says, was never turned on. Dan made the first with the Royal News Network, and the description also accuses the couple of arranging paparazzi pictures with The Sun, the paper where Dan once ran the showbiz desk. That claim is his, not an established fact.

The guest list did much of the work. The YouTuber According2Taz joined him for the week's most watched upload, on Prince William and Catherine and their decision to stay silent about Harry and Meghan. Under it, viewers keep making one point: that the couple chose this long ago and are only being asked about it now. Lady Colin Campbell, the royal biographer, came on to discuss Earl Spencer's interview with Tina Brown. Not everything was royal. The live weekday show went to Gosport, the Hampshire town at the center of the protests, with the comedian Leo Kearse beside Dan for the whole program.

The channel's daily views ran at about half their usual level, a slowdown that hit almost every political channel close to it in size. Even so, its 13 million views over the week were the most in that group, and it gained about 4,000 subscribers. Among those neighbors, only TYT Investigates is running ahead of its normal pace.
