Claudia's knitwear has never looked better... #traitors #comedy #comicrelief
Old sketches, new life. Comic Relief, the charity behind Red Nose Day, spent the week digging through its own telethon archive and cutting it into shorts.
The pick of the three is "Claudia's knitwear has never looked better...", a slice of a Celebrity Traitors parody in which Dawn French plays Claudia Winkleman, gathering famous Faithful and Traitors around the roundtable. The description dates it to Red Nose Day 2023. Viewers are mostly admiring the details: one says the makeup color is spot on, another compares the running gag to a famous bit from Scary Movie. A second Traitors short, "Maddy and Wilf are still in the castle?!", followed a day later and is moving at a gentler pace.
The video carrying the most weight, though, is older stock again. "The Inbetweeners Road Trip of Britain's RUDEST Places", posted a fortnight ago, has passed a quarter of a million views. It sends Simon Bird, Joe Thomas, James Buckley and Blake Harrison off in the yellow Fiat to 50 rudely named places in 50 hours for Red Nose Day 2011, with Greg Davies waiting at the finish. A short from the same trip went up this week but stayed quiet.
Views ran a little below the channel's usual rhythm and the subscriber count held still. Among comedy channels of a similar size it was a calm week; Biggy Bailey and Rankexa had the big ones.
