Remaking every scene in Twilight, one Edward squint at a time

Tyler Warwick's newest short drew most of its first few days' views in a single day, and the comments are mostly about his Edward voice and makeup.

Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.

Four days old, "I'm remaking every scene in twilight!" is the clearest statement of what Tyler Warwick, who bills himself simply as an actor and creator, is up to right now. He plays the 2008 film back scene by scene, with himself as Edward Cullen and Bella both, and it is the freshest of his Twilight shorts and the quickest.

The comments read like a scene-by-scene review. Viewers single out the awkward Edward voice, the makeup, the sliding, even the rain on the soundtrack and a bird in the background, and one popular request is for a single long video with every recreated scene stitched together in order.

The rest of the week stayed in Forks. "Edward talks to Bella for the first time!" went up on Monday, and a two-week-old short of Edward sitting down at school, now past 200,000 views, is still drawing a steady crowd. There was also a Twilight car freshener, described as bringing the scent of Forks along for the drive. The one detour was to Australia: "Charlotte becomes a MERMAID!!" borrows from H2O: Just Add Water, the Gold Coast series about teenage girls who grow tails when they touch water.

Views ran a little below the channel's usual pace, close to a million for the week, and subscribers barely moved. Among comedy sketch channels of a similar size, Biggy Bailey and Rankexa had the busy weeks, while Tyler sat with Comic Relief and Brian Moller among the calmer ones.
