CD players, a hidden bookshelf speaker and two rounds of hi-fi sales for cheapaudioman
Six uploads went up, and the newest bargain roundup passed 30,000 views in its first eight hours.
Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.
Insane Hifi Deals Happening Now You Don't Want to Miss!
What does a channel about good sound on any budget do when the sales arrive? It talks about the sales, twice. "Insane Hifi Deals Happening Now You Don't Want to Miss!" went past 120,000 views in under a day and a half, and "Don't Miss these Crazy Hifi Sales! Cheapest I've Seen!" followed a day later and is gathering views at an even quicker clip. The description of the first ties it to a cancer fundraiser, and under it viewers swap notes on old receivers, price histories and long thank-yous for the systems they built from his picks.
The rest of the week was the more opinionated kind of hi-fi talk. "The Best Kept Secret in Bookshelf Speakers" and "Forget Everything Hi-Fi Taught You About CD Players" both went past 100,000 views, while "Are You Really After Better Sound or Do You Just Like Buying Stuff" asked a question many collectors may prefer not to answer. A Klipsch Rebellion video rounded it off.
The channel as a whole ran a little below its usual daily pace, and about a thousand new subscribers arrived. Among similar tech channels, Zack Shutt had the giant week and the WVFRM Podcast ran above its normal pace, while cheapaudioman sat third for views gained.

You’re a good guy, Randy. Thank you for everything you do.
@deecafflatteSee it on YouTubeI want to express a big thank you to Randy. Over the last I’ve put together a system that far exceeds what I thought possible, based mostly on his recommendations. And it truly sounds amazing for a reasonable amount of money. I’m so comfortable with it and satisfied that I’m starting to listen to the music again instead of the gear!!

I hope and trust you are all doing well.
All the very best to you all.@Simon_HawkshawSee it on YouTubeI got my Leatherman Marine version in 1997, use it nearly every day, still like new... I thought it was expensive at the time, not anymore 😉. USCGA Captain.
@peterbaugh51See it on YouTubeI'm still rockin' the Gerber Multi-Plier I got when I was in the Coast Guard 35 years ago. Made in USA and solidly built. I love the way the pliers slide out with a flick of the wrist.
@pfink70See it on YouTubeMy setup is a 2010 Sony ES receiver. I’m not sure about the model number, but it’s paired with Polk Audio RT 2000Ps with matching back surround and side surrounds and a center, and I love it.
