Twelve iOS 27 settings, and three million views for Andrew Ethan Zeng
His guide to the first things to change on a new iPhone has passed 3.2 million views in 24 days, in a week without a single new upload.
Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.
Apple iOS 27 – 12 Settings You MUST Change on Launch
Andrew Ethan Zeng's iOS 27 settings guide went past three million views, and it got there while its maker took a week off from uploading. "Apple iOS 27 – 12 Settings You MUST Change on Launch" walks through the switches that matter after the update: tuning Liquid Glass, full-screen widgets, a compact lock screen, the new Siri with its GPT extension and, near the end, a couple of location-sharing settings worth turning off. It is the kind of video people find the evening a new phone comes out of the box, and that may be why it keeps working weeks later.
Behind it sit two of his September reviews. One is an iPhone 18 Pro day in the life, filmed on a single charge across Sydney from a 5 a.m. start, testing the variable aperture camera and the new C2 modem. The other is a month with the Eight Sleep Pod 6, from a creator who says he has slept on the company's covers for over three years.
With nothing new posted, the channel ran at well under half its usual daily pace and added about a thousand subscribers, settling at 444,000. Among the tech review channels close to his size, Andrew Bond had the busiest week by a wide margin, with HotshotTek and 9to5Google also past a million views. Most of the group ran below their usual pace. Zeng's iPhone guides kept his channel close to the middle of that pack.
