Roisin Conaty has found a three-letter word, but the board is missing a fairly essential ingredient. Offering "JOY" without an O, she explains: "It was not about the letters, it's about the meaning for me today." Jimmy Carr is less persuaded.
That cheerful disregard for the assignment runs through Channel 4 Entertainment's most-watched new upload, "Just Roisin Conaty being HILARIOUS | 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown | Channel 4". The compilation has reached roughly 176,000 views and is also the channel's busiest video right now. It gathers appearances from the programme rather than a new standalone performance.
Conaty brings a giant ice-cream dessert and Power Sniff smelling salts as competitive aids, debates doubtful words with Susie Dent, and recounts being locked inside Hampstead Heath three times. Joe Wilkinson and Jon Richardson supply plenty of reactions. In the comments, viewers single out Wilkinson's response to the smelling salts, Richardson's laughter and Conaty's prank calls to her mother.
The week's other upload is a full Taskmaster episode, with Greg Davies and Alex Horne overseeing blindfolded navigation, wool-and-peg self-portraits and a measurement machine. Richard Ayoade's blindfold causes controversy, while Chloe Petts has flying sausages to contend with.
Across the channel, subscribers were unchanged over the week and the library added about 4.3 million views. Daily viewing is currently less than half its usual level. Among nearby television channels, Paramount Plus had a particularly busy week, while CBS was quieter.
Countdown remains the main source of momentum here: behind Conaty, the earlier compilation celebrating Susie Dent's nine-letter-word excitement continues to draw more daily views than the new Taskmaster episode. Perfect spelling and Conaty's meaning-first approach both have a place in the collection.

@Mark-ei3bvSee it on YouTubeFinally, a YouTube video whose title understates it's content! Roisin is hilarious and, also, preposterous and cheerily sweet. It seems she has a lot of dear friends among the comics. I especially love her teamed with Joe Wilkenson. Thank you for this compilation.
