Past 2.7 billion lifetime views, Channel 4 Entertainment spent its week leaning on the two shows it knows best. Two of the four new uploads came from Taskmaster Series 22, both built around episodes 3 and 4. One promises saliva, tears and an embarrassing slip from Alex Horne, the show's creator and Greg Davies' ever-patient assistant. The other asks what Horne really thinks of his fans. Both drew steady, modest crowds.

The liveliest new clip was a different kind of comedy. "''Hopefully’ doth butter no parsnips’ Joe Lycett’s best emails" collects his famously pompous correspondence from 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown. Three days in, it is gathering views several times faster than either Taskmaster clip. A Big Fat Quiz fails reel, with a title involving something lodged somewhere unfortunate, opened briskly in its first ten hours.

The strongest pull, though, comes from ten days back: "30 minutes of Sean Lock's BEST solves," a tribute to the long-serving team captain whose deadpan answers made that show. Overall, the channel ran at roughly three quarters of its usual daily pace. Most of the TV and streaming channels around it, from Paramount Plus and E! News to Apple TV and Doctor Who, had the same kind of softer stretch.
