LL COOL J and Scott Caan trade thank-yous on CBS

Their red-carpet exchange joins a prison-break crossover promo and a balloon-popping CIA cast quiz.

Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.

From the fans to their families -- LL COOL J & Scott Caan have lots to be thankful for! 💙#NCISNYFrom the fans to their families -- LL COOL J & Scott Caan have lots to be thankful for! 💙#NCISNY

Who gets thanked first, the viewers or the family? LL COOL J starts with the fans, then works through music listeners, TV viewers and the people behind his career. Standing beside him, Scott Caan brings the answer home: "Right in this moment, I thank my family, my wife, and my kids." LL promptly adds his own family, too.

The NCIS: NEW YORK co-stars' exchange was the most-watched of CBS's twelve new uploads, reaching roughly 23,000 views. LL also slips in a playful thank-you to Caan for listening to his early demos. By the end, Caan is joking about their minds merging into a single opinion. It is a small cast moment rather than a glimpse of Sam Hanna's high-stakes New York assignments.

The week's more urgent business belongs to "Sheriff Country x Fire Country: Crossover Promo | CBS". A prison break becomes a hostage crisis, bringing Morena Baccarin's Sheriff Mickey Fox together with Max Thieriot's Bode and Station 42. The two-hour event is scheduled for November 6. Its promo is currently drawing the most daily views among the channel's active uploads, with an older full episode of Cupertino also keeping viewers coming.

Elsewhere, Tom Ellis and Nick Gehlfuss pop balloons to choose questions about CIA and themselves. The discoveries include Gehlfuss putting potato chips in sandwiches and never having tasted coffee, a useful contrast with Austin Stowell's separate appreciation of a fresh cup.

CBS's subscriber count held steady over the week, while daily viewing is running at about half its usual level. Paramount Plus and E! News had much busier weeks for views; on CBS, the mix was more intimate, with cast banter sharing the schedule with a substantial crossover preview.
