Elsbeth's fourth season trailer tops CBS's Survivor 51 week

CBS spent its week doing what a network does at the start of a fall season: announcing things. Six uploads went up, and the one with the most pull is the Season 4 trailer for Elsbeth, the Carrie Preston-led comedy mystery that spun off from The Good Wife universe. It passed about 29,000 views in six days.

The rest were short and promotional. Two Survivor 51 clips pointed viewers to the season premiere and the show's Open Era, RuPaul turned up as a Judge Judy expert for a Paramount+ special, the Eternally Yours cast got a note for the moms, and Devan Chandler Long, Thorfinn on Ghosts, set the mood on the show's set.

Older trailers are still keeping pace with Elsbeth. Boston Blue's second-season trailer is drawing nearly as much each day, and the CIA Season 2 premiere trailer, already past four million views, is close behind. Across the channel, daily views ran below their usual level, and subscribers held steady. That put CBS in good company: nearly every TV network and streaming channel nearby, from E! News and Apple TV to Paramount Plus and Disney Plus, was having a softer stretch too.
