Overrated or underrated? A Week 6 rankings debate sends Indiana fans to the comments

A Red River preview with Chip Patterson and Brandon Marcello and a Charles Davis rundown of Georgia-Alabama filled out a fifteen-upload week.

Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.

Which teams are overrated and which teams are underrated? 👀Which teams are overrated and which teams are underrated? 👀

Fifteen uploads went up on CBS Sports College Football, and the one drawing the loudest crowd is also the simplest: a quick verdict on which teams are overrated and which are underrated. It went up on Monday and was soon the week's most watched new video.

The comment section reads like a weekly call-in show. Indiana supporters line up to defend their team, pointing to quarterback numbers and a defense that keeps handing over short fields. Others wonder why Jeremiah Smith isn't the Heisman pick, check Ohio State's road schedule, or ask why a 5-0 Nebraska is still unranked. Florida gets a few votes for overrated too.

The Gators had a rough week all around. A short on Baugh's 13 yards on 12 carries in the loss to Missouri ran close behind the rankings debate. Elsewhere, Chip Patterson and Brandon Marcello previewed No. 1 Texas against Oklahoma, from how Arch Manning handles the Sooners' defense to Colin Simmons's place near the top of the national sack list. Charles Davis took on the rest of the Saturday slate, Georgia-Alabama and UCLA-Oregon included. And Arkansas booster John Tyson got a laugh with a joke about Cody Campbell.

The channel added roughly nine million views across the seven days, holding its usual daily pace. Among similar American sports channels, only Fuzzy and D1 Kuumo added more, and Fuzzy is running well above its normal rate. For a channel that sits seventh of nine by subscribers, third place by views is a comfortable spot.

What viewers say

  • Indiana wins, then gets nick picked to death and drops. I'm not mad though. If Cignetti has taught us anything, its that if you win it doesn't matter what people say. ✌️
  • Ohio State plays AT Bloomington. Do these guys know what they’re talking about?

  • I feel at 5-0 Nebraska is absolutely underrated and wondering why they're not even ranked?
But then again, the pattern the past 2-3 years: As soon as Nebraska gets ranked, they lose the following week.
