Pete Prisco's Bears doubts and a Raiders grudge fuel CBS Sports' Week 5 picks
Bryant McFadden joins him for all fifteen games, and the comment section has turned into a running scorecard of the panel's misses.
Why this story? The video opened at a pace of 238,856 views a day, 11 times a normal first day on this channel (22,308).
NFL Predictions and Picks for EVERY Week 5 Game [Buccaneers at Cowboys] | Best Bets ✅
The show opens with a scoreboard the panel would probably rather skip: their own betting records. From there, Pete Prisco and Bryant McFadden work through every game of the NFL's Week 5 on CBS Sports HQ. It starts with Thursday night's Buccaneers at Cowboys and ends with the Bills visiting the Rams on Monday night, with a round of best bets to close.
Eight hours after it went up, the video had drawn close to 120,000 views. The comment section moved even faster. It had already collected more than ten times the comments a regular video here gets in a whole first day.
Much of that talk is an argument with Prisco. Many viewers object to his claim that the Bears have not played anybody, and some go to the Packers segment to question his faith in Green Bay's run defense. A running joke holds that he never warms to the Raiders. That is funny, given that his power rankings, posted the same day with McFadden, lifted the Raiders into the top ten despite a loss.
The rest of the comments split between viewers who say they bet against the panel on purpose and viewers who ask to be given a seat on it, with their own records as proof. A few simply welcome the weekly picks back, and one sums up the mood: they like the pair together, just not their picks.
