CBS Sports sat Aaron Rodgers down with a replay of one of his own throws, the pass to Darnell Washington, and filmed him watching it. The title calls his reaction amazing and adds a laughing emoji. The description adds only one word: "WATCH."
Plenty of people did. The clip started at about eleven times the pace a new CBS Sports upload usually manages on its first day. It follows the Terron Armstead video from the day before, which had a strong start of its own, and this one left that start well behind. The channel as a whole was also running well above its ordinary daily pace.
Rodgers is a four-time league MVP who spent most of his career with the Green Bay Packers and won Super Bowl XLV with them. Washington, the tight end on the receiving end of the play, came into the league in 2023 after winning two national titles at Georgia.
