Why this story? One of the most watched videos since yesterday, with 322,194 views.
the secret retextured block...
Minecraft's crimson and warped nylium have a familiar pattern beneath their colors. In "the secret retextured block...", camman18 demonstrates how adjusting mycelium's color levels produces the look of those Nether blocks.
The Short, posted today, has drawn about 322,000 views in its first two and a half hours. It starts with another visual connection: shift cobblestone's texture, invert it and change the color, and end stone emerges. Logs, ores and powder items follow before he gets to the resemblance he has just discovered.
The extra clue is in the vocabulary. As camman18 explains, "nylium" combines "Nether" and "mycelium." Yesterday's upload examined blocks from underneath; this one finds something hiding in plain sight on their surfaces.
