A mob missing from ordinary survival play can still make itself heard, thanks to an unlikely impersonator.
Why this story? One of the most watched videos since yesterday, with 403,649 views.
the rarest sound in Minecraft...
Forget ominous cave noises. In "the rarest sound in Minecraft...", camman18 follows a stranger lead: a parrot making the voice of a monster that never naturally appears in survival mode.
The new Short has drawn about 400,000 views in its first few hours. Its answer is the illusioner, whose sounds remain in the game even though the mob doesn't naturally spawn. As camman18 explains, parrots usually imitate nearby monsters, but they can also randomly produce a mob's call without one being present. The illusioner is among their possible impressions.
Getting one particular illusioner idle sound is the sticking point. By camman18's calculation, that takes an average of 274 hours, a long wait for a murmur.
The comments have found a less technical candidate: camman18's own opening scare. Several viewers jokingly nominate his understated attempt to startle them as the real rare sound.
