A $1,000,000 SMX finale, and a winner who would not stop celebrating, on Buttery Films

Four uploads followed the SuperMotocross season to its end, from the 250 grand finale to a 450 race with a seven-figure prize.

Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.

Why is he doing all that!? 😭Why is he doing all that!? 😭

Buttery Films is a group of buddies who say they are not professional riders but professional fun havers, and they spent their week in the stands of a series that pays like a professional one. The SuperMotocross finale, with a million dollars on the line, filled nearly everything they posted.

The biggest of the four uploads was the shortest-titled question: "Why is he doing all that!? 😭", a look at a champion's very loud celebration. It passed 100,000 views in its first day and now sits around 180,000. The comment section mostly answers the title. Many viewers point out that the rider went from a punchline last year to a title this year, others note that his average finish in the playoffs was lower than his rivals' and he still took the prize, and plenty compare the scene with Haiden Deegan's own emotional wins. Jorge Prado's name comes up again and again.

Around it sat "Wild 450 SMX Finish! 😭" and "Buttery Films 250 SMX Grand Finale!", while "INSANE $1,000,000 dirt bike race!", posted the week before, is still pulling a steady crowd. The newest video, "What's Really Been Going On!", came on October 3 with a thank-you to the people who keep the bikes running, and it is the one moving fastest now.

The channel as a whole ran well below its usual daily pace, and the subscriber count held where it was. Among the motorbike and motorsport channels near its size, Buttery Films still landed fourth for views gained over the week, while dickfartjr had a huge stretch and P1 with Matt & Tommy kept its usual busy rhythm.

What viewers say

  • Bro let him celebrate however he wants .... he went from a running joke last year to an SMX champ this year. That's a hell of a turnaround 😂

  • Celebration is not a planned emotion. It is a reaction to an emotion in that time. Congrats to Prado!!
