Brighter Paws' swan keeps the pond's grain to itself

This Swan Has Opinions About Sharing

The grain is spread along a stone pond edge, with ducks and geese gathering for a meal. The swan has other arrangements in mind: it pecks, lunges and sends the smaller birds scattering.

Brighter Paws' "This Swan Has Opinions About Sharing" has drawn nearly a quarter-million views within its opening hours, running well ahead of the channel's usual Shorts pace. The footage is credited on screen to @avian_audit.

Offering food directly from a hand doesn't settle the dispute. The mute swan starts eating, then snaps at a goose and a duck when they approach the same handful. It keeps alternating between taking grain and driving away the neighbors. There is no spoken dialogue, just a very clear disagreement over access to lunch.

Viewers are supplying the missing conversation, imagining demands to get in line and distinguishing between sharing the pond and sharing the food. Others pick out the little quack after a duck is grabbed near the beginning.

The channel also has an older animal story reaching a milestone: October's "This Beaver Takes Finishing a Job Seriously" has passed a million views.
