A $15,000 downswing, and Brantzen's $5/10 night at Lucky Lady

The week's only upload takes him back to the Lucky Lady tables to try to win back what his biggest losing stretch took, while a five-month-old short has passed 30 million views.

Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.

Can a poker player dig out of the deepest hole of his career in one session? That is the question Brantzen sets himself in "How I Recovered from a $15,000 Downswing," his only new video of the week. The description lays out the plan: a $5/10 no-limit session at Lucky Lady, the card room near Los Angeles where he has spent years grinding low and mid stakes, to see whether he can climb back from his biggest losing streak so far.

It passed 20,000 views in three days. The comments read like a regular's table talk. One viewer praises him for keeping his living costs separate from his bankroll and suggests a video pitting a solver-style approach against a more exploitative one. Others ask for the bomb pots to stay in the edit, and one points to a hand with seven-deuce as a possible clue to where the downswing came from.

Most of the channel's traffic comes from somewhere else, though. "the BEST HAND in poker" is 154 days old, has passed 30 million views and still draws more daily viewers than anything else he has. Two other shorts, one on playing a bad hand and one on the only thing he hates more than poker players, follow it.

The whole channel ran well below its usual daily pace and added about 2,000 subscribers. Even so, among poker, chess and card game channels of his size, only Greg Goes All In added more views over the seven days.
