'NEVER RESIGN' keeps GothamChess's clips channel ticking through a pause
The 75-day-old compilation has passed 720,000 views, more than any other recent upload on Levy Rozman's second channel.
Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.
NEVER RESIGN
Gotham Clips is where GothamChess, the chess teacher Levy Rozman, parks the funny bits: moments cut from his Twitch streams and his main-channel videos, judging by the tags, from series like Guess the Elo. Nothing new went up over the past seven days, and the channel drifted along on its summer uploads.
The one still doing the most work is "NEVER RESIGN," a title that doubles as a chess philosophy, now past 720,000 views after 75 days. Two others from the same batch keep it company at a gentler pace: "GOD TIER KNIGHT," close to 200,000, and "You Cannot Take The Rook," a little over 100,000. None of them is moving fast, but a clip that keeps finding a few viewers a day long after its moment is what a back catalog is for.
Without fresh clips, the channel's daily views sit well under half of their usual level, and the subscriber count held where it was. Among chess, poker and card channels close to its size, only Shut Up & Sit Down added fewer views this week. The family is doing fine elsewhere: Gotham Games, Levy's gaming channel, drew more than eight times as many, and the poker side of the group belonged to Greg Goes All In, with close to 12 million views in seven days.
